Calling all Express Volunteers!

The 2018-2019 season is rapidly approaching and we are looking for people who want to get involved. We need coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and helpers of all sorts. Our Coaches and Volunteers are essential to the success of each season that Express Basketball Club runs. Coaches are often parents of players, community members or former players who want to give back  and contribute to our community and youth.

Coach Selection 

Occasionally we encounter a situation where we have more coaching requests than teams at a given level. Or, we may have multiple coaches wanting to coach a specific team.  As Executives, we ask all those involved to remember that our focus is on our Youth Athletes Development, and we will work together to resolve things amicably. In the event that a shared decision cannot be reached.  the decision shall be made by the Express Executive.

The following factors shall be considered.

• Overall experience
• Experience at the age group in question
• Experience at the level in question (i.e. competitive vs. development)
• Training & certification

For all teams, the Express Executive shall have final say in the selection or acceptance of any coach.
